The function of the electric strike is to block the entrance secured by it and to release it after supplying voltage to the solenoid of the electric strike. The electric strike can be controlled by an intercom system, video intercom system, access control system, or a simple push button (so-called "bell"). In the case of typical models, when selecting an electric strike, the customer must specify the direction of opening the door controlled by it (left-right). The symmetrical electric strike has a latch (tongue) located at an equal distance from both edges of the housing, which makes it suitable for installation in both left and right doors. The electric strike is equipped with a coil that allows DC power supply (from a DC power supply) or AC power supply (from a transformer). This feature allows you to select the power supply device, for example, in terms of the audibility of the electric door strike.
