Product Description
The proximity reader is located in the outer signboard, while the battery container is located in the inner signboard. The inner handle is permanently coupled to the pin mating with the mortise lock, so that the door can be opened at any time from the inside and without the presence of battery power. The outer handle is normally decoupled from the bolt and moves freely. When access is granted, an electronic circuit couples the outside handle to the bolt that works with the mortise lock, allowing the door to be opened from the outside.
The hardware works with a standard patent cylinder, which allows emergency opening of the door with a traditional mechanical key (in the case of using a mechanical mortise lock equipped with a lever for opening without the use of a handle). An external door opening and bolt position sensor can be attached to the lock. Sensor input states and battery status are reported to the access controller.
