MCX8-BRD Roger I/O Expander

MCX8-BRD is an input and output expander designed for use in RACS 5 access control system. The expander provides eight parametric input lines and eight relay outputs. Each input can be individually parameterized in terms of response time and topology of attached contacts and resistors. Optionally, the inputs can be configured for double wiring mode, which allows two independent NO or NC contacts to be attached to each input, thus doubling the number of input signals monitored by the expander. Each of the relay outputs provides a NO contact and a NC contact, and can be either off (so-called normal polarity) or on (so-called reverse polarity) in the idle state.
Communication with the controller is via a modified RS485 standard, which allows star and tree type wiring structures. The communication bus to which the expander is connected can be up to 1200 m long and can be made using any type of signal cable.
Configuration of the device and firmware update is carried out via RS485 interface and RogerVDM program (Windows).
The expander is available as an electronic module without a housing. The version without a housing is factory-equipped with brackets for mounting the module on a DIN rail.
