AOCD-260 curtain detector
The AOCD-260 curtain detector monitors a narrow strip of space with a width of only 0.6 m and a length of 10 m. The device detects movement when it crosses the border of the protected area - it can be part of perimeter protection. It operates as part of a two-way ABAX 2/ABAX wireless system. The product complies with the requirements of EN 50131 Grade 2 (for indoor applications). The detector has two detection paths: infrared and microwave, which can be adjusted independently. Detection is based on digital signal processing, supported by dynamic temperature compensation, ensuring correct operation of the detector in the temperature range from -40°C to +55°C. The AOCD-260 monitors the motion detection system and signals any irregularities in its operation. The detector is characterized by high resistance to false alarms. Configuring the device and updating its software is done remotely. Radio communication in the ABAX 2 system is encrypted in the AES standard.
AOCD-260 has a tri-color LED indicating, among other things, violation in test mode. The detector is powered by a CR123A 3 V battery. When its charge level is lower than the set value, the detector will report low battery information. The available ECO option (only in ABAX 2) allows up to four times the operating time without changing the battery. The device has a polycarbonate housing (IP54 rating). The detector is equipped with tamper protection against opening and against detachment from the ground. It can be mounted directly on the wall (Grade 2) or with an angle bracket.
When it is required to move the detector away from the wall, even for a distance of several centimeters, it is worth using the BRACKET E modular bracket. Especially if there is a gutter or lamp in the vicinity of the device, which may limit the full range of the detector's detection field. A special insert for AGATE/AOCD-260 detectors allows their installation also using BRACKET A and BRACKET B brackets (recommended for indoor installation). All the above-mentioned brackets are suitable for wall and ceiling mounting. In addition, BRACKET E and BRACKET B have an enclosed design that allows the cable to be hidden, thus improving the overall aesthetics of the installation.
