Proximity reader MCT86M-IO-CH-HR

MCT86M-IO-CH-HR is an RACS 5 system terminal designed for use in hotel facilities. The main function of the terminal is to lock the electrical power supply when the hotel guest is not in the room and to control hotel signaling: Do Not Disturb, Clean Up, Call for Help and Call for Service. The terminal is equipped with a pocket for a proximity card, the status of which it continuously monitors. The controller's response to the insertion and removal of the card is configurable and can depend on the privileges assigned to it. The hotel signals are controlled by touch-sensitive function keys, and their current status is presented on the terminal's LED indicators, in the system management software and on the room entry reader (MCT82M-IO-HR). The MCT86M-IO-CH-HR terminal provides a set of programmable I/O lines including one relay output. Typically, these lines are used to control the room's electrical power supply, air conditioning, lighting, and connect various types of buttons, switches and sensors.

Using the MCT86M-IO-CH-HR terminal complete with the MCT82M-IO-HR terminal, a basic set of devices can be obtained within the RACS 5 system, realizing typical requirements for access control and automation in hotel rooms. Using the Integration Server, it is possible to integrate the RACS 5 system with third-party programs and even realize additional operating logic not available in the system. The terminal supports encrypted MIFARE® card sectors, which protects the system against the use of foreign cards and duplication of original cards. The terminal requires connection to an access controller, which controls the system's operation logic. Connection to the controller is via an addressable RS485 bus.
