In the case of typical models, when selecting an electric strike, the customer must specify the direction of opening of the door controlled by it (left-right). The symmetrical electric strike has a latch (tongue) located at an equal distance from both edges of the housing, which makes it suitable for installation in both left and right doors. This eliminates the need to select a specific type of electric strike when designing an entrance control. The function of the electric strike is to block the entrance secured by it and to release it after supplying voltage to the electric strike coil. The electric strike can be controlled by an intercom system, video intercom system, access control system or a simple push button (so-called "bell"). The basic dimensions of the reverse lock are the same as those of other normal SCOT lock models. It is in the OPEN position only for the time of a power interruption - that is, for the time when the corresponding button of the control device is pressed or in case of a power interruption. Other than this time, the door is CLOSED. Along with the electric strike, the customer receives a universal metal strip that allows mounting the electric strike in the gate post or door frame. It allows eliminating the play between the electro-lock tongue and the door lock tongue by extending the electro-lock tongue within 0 ~ 4 mm from the standard position. The electric strike has been equipped with a special coil that allows to reduce current consumption during operation. This feature allows the electric strike to be used in battery-supported control systems, where the current consumption of each device is extremely important.
