For typical models, when selecting an electric strike, the customer must specify the direction of opening of the door controlled by it (left-right). The symmetrical electric strike has a latch (tongue) located at an equal distance from both edges of the housing, which makes it suitable for installation in both left and right doors. This eliminates the need to select a specific type of electric strike when designing an entrance control. The function of the electric strike is to block the entrance secured by it and to release it after supplying voltage to the electric strike coil. The electric strike can be controlled by an intercom system, video intercom system, access control system or a simple push button (so-called "bell"). SCOT electric strikes are manufactured from high-quality materials, which translates into trouble-free operation for a long time. The manufacturer's tests show no excessive wear even with hundreds of thousands of opening cycles. This allows the electric door strike to be covered by a 5-year warranty. Along with the electric strike, the customer receives a universal metal strip that allows mounting the electric strike in the gate post or door frame. It allows eliminating the play between the electro-lock tongue and the door lock tongue by extending the electro-lock tongue within 0 ~ 4 mm from the standard position. The electric strike is equipped with a coil that allows it to be powered by DC (from a DC power supply) or AC (from a transformer). This feature allows the selection of the power supply device, for example, in terms of the audibility of the electric strike operation. After powering the electric strike with DC current, the person at the entrance will hear only a characteristic "click", while AC current will cause a "buzz" throughout the time the voltage is applied to the electric strike. The electric strike has a mechanical interlock switch that can be set to the OPEN or CLOSED position. In the OPEN state, you can pass through the door for any length of time without applying electrical impulses. In the CLOSED state, it works as standard as other electromagnetic lock models. The switch setting is possible only when the door is open. Once the door is closed, changing the switch position is not possible. It is used in places where there is a lot of traffic during the day and there is no need to control the entrance of people. Depending on the need, the electromagnetic lock can be switched to the mode of operation with control of persons' entry.
