Hikvision's 2-wire video door entry system is a comprehensive solution that includes both indoor panels and door stations, which are directly powered from the distributor. Its key advantage is the use of only two wires - one for power and the other for audio-video transmission. This makes retrofitting older intercom systems extremely easy, as existing wiring can be used. This approach significantly speeds up installation and reduces installation costs.
The 2-wire HD technology, designated HD, represents the next stage in the development of 2-wire systems. It was designed to meet users' growing expectations in terms of video and audio quality. The new generation offers better resolution and a clearer signal, which significantly improves user comfort and safety. With data and power transmission over the same two wires, installation is even easier and upgrades are possible without the need for new cabling. In addition, 2-wire HD systems can be integrated with modern solutions such as mobile apps for remote viewing and access management.
