The device offers three modes of nighttime operation: black and white images using infrared (IR), color images thanks to visible light LEDs, and SMART mode, which automatically switches from IR to LED when human or vehicle movement is detected.

Smart Hybrid Light - customize the illumination of the scene. Smart Hybrid Illuminator is a lighting mode on the DS-2CD2643G2-LIZS2U(2.8-12mm) camera that activates white light only when a person or vehicle is detected in the detection zone. When the subject leaves the monitored area, the LED illuminator automatically switches to infrared (IR) after one minute.
