Wide Dynamic Range - That is, high quality in difficult conditions
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) 120 dB is an advanced technology used in video surveillance cameras such as the DS-2TD2628-3/QA(O-STD) to capture clear images in high contrast lighting conditions, where both bright and dark areas can occur simultaneously in the same scene. WDR 120 dB is a technology that combines two or more frames with different exposures into a single image. In practice, the camera captures two images - one with a short exposure time, which captures details in bright areas, and another with a longer exposure time, which captures details in dark areas. The camera's software then combines these images to produce a single, well-balanced frame in which all details are visible.

Reduce unnecessary noise
3D DNR (3D Digital Noise Reduction) is an advanced noise reduction technology used in video surveillance cameras such as the DS-2TD2628-3/QA(O-STD), which improves image quality in difficult lighting conditions, especially at night or in low light. By eliminating noise, the technology produces clearer and more detailed images, which is crucial in situations that require accurate video analysis. 3D DNR works by analyzing consecutive video frames and comparing pixels between them to detect and remove noise from the image. Unlike traditional two-dimensional noise reduction (2D DNR), which only analyzes noise within a single frame, 3D DNR takes into account both information from a single frame and differences between adjacent frames. This additional temporal analysis allows for more effective noise recognition and removal, while preserving image detail.
- Enhanced image clarity: 3D DNR technology significantly improves image quality in low-light conditions, reducing grain and blur that often appears in video recordings. The result is a clearer and more readable image.

- Improved visibility of details: By reducing noise at night or in low-light conditions, 3D DNR helps identify fine details such as faces, license plates and other key elements, which is invaluable for evidence analysis.
- Minimizing ghosting: Unlike simpler noise reduction methods, 3D DNR minimizes the appearance of artifacts in the image, such as "ghosting" (the ghosting effect of objects moving in the frame). By analyzing multiple frames at once, the technology does a better job of eliminating these unwanted effects.
How does ROI work?
The ROI function allows you to define one or more areas in the field of view of the DS-2TD2628-3/QA(O-STD) camera that are particularly important to monitor, such as entrances, cash registers, or high-traffic areas. In these designated regions, the camera can capture images at a higher resolution and bitrate, providing more detail.
