AGATE perimeter security detector

AGATE is an outdoor curtain motion detector, belonging to the group of perimeter protection devices. It is ideal for use both outside the protected building and in interiors with difficult or specific environmental conditions (e.g. halls, sheds). The AGATE detector has two motion detection paths: PIR and MW. AGATE has an active AM IR (for indoor applications). As a result, it meets the high security requirements of Grade 3 as defined by EN 50131 - the detector can be used to protect the interiors of high-risk facilities: banks, museums, jewelry stores, etc.

The dual technology combined with the detector's auto-adaptation algorithm to environmental conditions ensures high resistance to false alarms, and thus stable operation in harsh atmospheric conditions such as rain, snow, sunshine and strong gusts of air. The device offers correct operation in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +55°C, and changes in ambient temperature are automatically compensated.

The AGATE curtain detector is characterized by a narrow detection angle of only 10 degrees and a range of 14 m. At this distance, the emitted beam (curtain) is about 1 m wide. The sensitivity of the detection paths is adjusted using two independent potentiometers located on the electronics board.

The housing of the device, for the production of which two-component injection technology was used, is also unique. This has resulted in a splash-proof design with an IP54 rating, providing AGATE electronics with protection against harmful atmospheric phenomena. The detector's housing also features high mechanical strength and UV resistance.

The AGATE detector's design allows it to be mounted directly on a flat surface. It is also possible to mount it using a special angle bracket (fixed tilt of 90°).
