Surveillance Recorders


A surveillance recorder is a device to which the cameras that make up a surveillance system are connected. It is responsible for processing and recording video, so it should be compatible with the entire system and reliable.

How to choose a DVR for monitoring?

When choosing a DVR, the first thing to pay attention to is the technology of operation (IP, AHD, HD-CVI or HD-TVI). It should be compatible with the rest of the system's devices and fit your needs. In addition, when buying a DVR, the following is important:

- number of channels - each channel is one camera,
- method of data compression - determining how much space the recordings take up on the disk,
- supported resolution - responsible for the quality of the recordings,

- software.
