Access expander kit for one passage. The kit includes a metal enclosure with power supply and an I/O expander. The kit allows operation of one two-way passage using Wiegand or RACS CLK/DTA readers. The readers and the lock are powered from the power outputs located on the expander, which can supply 0.2A and 1.0A respectively. The entire system is powered by a 24V DC/50W power supply included in the kit. The expander is connected to the access controller via RS485 bus. MCX402-BRD is an expander of input and output lines designed to work in RACS 5 system. The expander, depending on the uploaded embedded software, works with 2 terminals with Wiegand interface or 2 terminals of PRT series. The device, when connected to MC16 access controller and terminals, enables operation of 1 passage. MCX402-BRD cooperates with a backup battery, which is charged with a current of 0.3A.

The expander allows powering and operating one two-way passage based on PRT readers, Wiegand readers or MCT readers (RS485). Assuming the use of an additional 1A power source, the expander can support two single-sided passages based on PRT or Wiegand readers or two-sided passages based on MCT readers. Optionally, the expander can be used, as an interface to connect two Wiegand readers to the RS485 bus. In this scenario, the CLK and DTA lines can be used, as general purpose outputs.

ME-14-24V enclosure is designed for installation of electronic modules and RACS 5 system devices dedicated to DIN rail mounting and requiring cooperation with a 7Ah battery. The enclosure is equipped with one DIN rail, 24V/50W power supply and tamper switch. Access to the inside of the enclosure is protected by a screw-fastened door. The housing is made of powder-coated steel sheet in anthracite gray color.
