SCOT electromagnetic jumpers are an alternative to the electric strikes commonly used in access control systems. The jumper consists of an actuator containing an electromagnet, mounted on the door frame, and a metal plate, placed on the door leaf. The energized coil of the electromagnet attracts the plate, thus securing the entrance. Depending on the model of the jumper, the maximum pressure on the door at which the electromagnet attracts the metal plate is 180, 280, 350, 540 kg. Electromagnetic jumpers are used in access control systems interchangeably with reversible electric strikes, that is, where security regulations require opening the door after a power failure in the control system: emergency exits, fire exits, public buildings. The electromagnetic jumper has no moving mechanical components, so there is virtually no wear and tear on the components of the device. For this reason, it is used in high-traffic areas where controlled doors are frequently opened, eliminating the need for constant maintenance. Additional mounting brackets of type "L", "ZL", "UL" allow the jumper to be mounted on virtually any door. The electromagnetic jumper is equipped with a NO relay, which can be used in the access control system informing about the opening / closing of the controlled door. This allows us to pass information, for example, to the alarm system, informing about the status of the door. On the housing of the jumper there is a two-color LED indicating the status of the input. If the door is closed, this is indicated by the green color of the diode - if the door is opened or is not closed - the diode will glow red. If the solenoid jumper coil is not energized (for example, during the control pulse) - the diode is extinguished. The design of the jumper allows installation outdoors, at security devices such as wickets, locks, etc.
