IP-5-11-M2 is a ready-to-use kit, dedicated to powering an IP CCTV system consisting of 5 IP cameras. Electronic protection of PoE outputs ensures continuous operation of the entire system in the event of a short circuit, or overloading of individual power branches, and automatic voltage recovery after the failure.

Sets with PoE switch are designed for cooperation with IP cameras and other network devices powered by PoE 802.3at/af and PoE PASSIVE standards. The switch allows operation in two modes: standard and extended range. When the Long Range switch is in the OFF position, all ports operate at 100 Mbps and offer an Ethernet range of up to 100 meters. When the dipswitch is switched to the ON position, the range is extended to 280 meters and the speed on ports 1 to 4 is reduced to 10 Mbps. This throughput is sufficient for efficient operation of a single camera. In both modes, the speed of UpLink ports 5 and 6 is 100 Mbps.

With LongRange mode enabled, we provide more flexibility in camera placement. Increasing the distance from the switch allows you to cover a large area more easily without having to build additional distribution points.

Notes:

• LongRange mode is disabled by default.
• Changing modes requires a power restart
• It is recommended to pre-test the feature before deployment
• No VLAN port isolation - uninterrupted communication between all ports of the swich regardless of the mode of operation
• For long distances, we recommend powering the switch with 55V from the dedicated APS-90-550-OF power supply or using the ASUC-100-550-OF converter for buffer sets
• The transmission distance is related to the cable used, Cat5e/6 cable is recommended
• The use of low-quality or CCA cables directly affects the significant reduction in range and limited PoE budget supplied to the camera
