SCOT bolt electric strikes are an alternative to the electric strikes commonly used in access control systems, or a complement to them in passageways requiring additional electromechanical protection. A bolt electric strike consists of an actuator element containing an electromagnet, which pushes or retracts a movable pin (depending on the type of electric strike) under the influence of applied voltage. The main element is mounted in the frame or on the door frame. The movable pin, entering the prepared hole, in the door leaf blocks it from opening. Depending on the model of electric door strike, the maximum pressure on the door at which the pin can be broken is 800 or 1000 kg. Bolt electric strikes are available both in standard version (NC-door closed without voltage) and in reversible version (NO-door open without voltage, door secured when voltage is applied). The EB-2600MD electric strike is a standard electric strike.
Autoblock
The electric bolt strike is equipped with an atomatic locking system. If the door is not physically opened after activation of the control signal and release of the electric strike, the door will be locked again after about 9 seconds from the end of the control impulse.
Signaling
The electric door strike is equipped with a NO contact, which can be used, in the access control system informing about the position of the controlled door. The contact remains closed if the door leaf is directly in the door frame (the plate with the magnet is located under the electric strike - the signal is independent of the voltage condition) . This allows us to transmit information, for example, to the alarm system, informing about the status of the door.
Time delay
The electric strike has the ability to set a time delay after which the electric strike will lock the door. This time can be set on the DIP switches inside the electric strike housing. Possible settings: 0 / 3 / 6 / 9 seconds delay after releasing the door opening control sibbol.
