External dual motion sensor OPAL Pro

OPAL Pro is an outdoor dual-mode motion detector, which is ideal for use both outside the protected building and in interiors with difficult or specific environmental conditions (e.g. halls, sheds). The OPAL Pro detector is equipped with dual-track motion detection: PIR and MW. OPAL Pro uses an active AM IR (for indoor applications). As a result, the device has been certified to meet the high security requirements of Grade 3 as defined by EN 50131 - the detector can be used to protect the interiors of high-risk facilities: banks, museums, jewelry stores, etc.

The dual technology, combined with the detector's auto-adaptation algorithm to environmental conditions, ensures high resistance to false alarms, and thus stable operation in harsh atmospheric conditions such as rain, snow, sunshine and strong gusts of air. The device offers correct operation in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +55°C, and changes in ambient temperature are automatically compensated.

The OPAL Pro detector features a detection angle of as much as 100 degrees and a range of more than 15 meters. The area under the detector is also protected, so that any attempt by an intruder to approach under the device to damage or break it will be detected. In addition, the software of the OPAL Pro series detectors has been developed so that the movement of small pets does not cause false alarms.

The OPAL Pro detector is additionally equipped with a twilight sensor that controls the OC output, which allows it to be used also in alarm systems with home automation - without the need to install additional twilight detectors. The signal from the low-current output can be given directly to a relay located in the electrical switchboard or to a home automation controller. The detector can also work with the KNX system via the INTEGRA series control panel. Thus, the functionality of OPAL Pro allows simple and convenient control of, for example, roller shutters, building exterior lighting, garage door or entrance gate, and the moment of triggering can be selected thanks to precise adjustment of sensitivity.

A great convenience for the installer is the function of remote change of sensitivity of all detection paths and the twilight sensor using the OPT-1 remote control, which eliminates the need to repeatedly open the detector's housing to change the settings.

The housing of the device is also unique, for the production of which two-component injection technology was used. This has resulted in a splash-proof design with an IP54 rating, providing OPAL Pro electronics with protection from harmful atmospheric phenomena. The detector's housing also features high mechanical strength and UV resistance.

The OPAL Pro detector's design allows it to be mounted directly on a flat surface. If the detector is to be tilted vertically or horizontally, special brackets from the BRACKET C (white) or BRACKET C GY (gray) set should be used: angle or ball.
