The RUD-4 is a 13.56MHz ISO/IEC 14443A MIFARE Classic standard proximity transponder reader and programmer with EM 125kHz card code reading functionality and is powered from a serial USB port which is also used to communicate with the device.The reader has a stable desktop metal enclosure with a card holder and is available in two versions, the basic RUD-4 v.1 dedicated to support MIFARE Classic and EM 125 kHz, and the extended

RUD-4-DES v.1 which supports everything that the RUD-4 v.1 and additionally MIFARE DESFire EV1. RUD-4 can be used as a universal card number reader (from Roger MiniReader 1.2 or higher) as well as for convenient entry of user IDs in RACS access control systems (PR Master 4.4.6 and higher or VISO 1.x is required). The function of programming MIFARE Classic and DESFire transponders has been made available in RogerVDM 1.2.4 utility. A developer SDK has been prepared for developers who want to integrate RUD-4 support in other applications.
