Hotel access terminal MCT82M-IO-HR-F

MCT82M-IO-HR is a RACS 5 system terminal designed for use in hotel facilities.The main function of the terminal is to control entry to a hotel room via proximity cards and to present the status of hotel signaling such as Do Not Disturb, Clean Up, Call for Help and Call for Service. In addition to the proximity card reader and LED indicators, the terminal provides a bell button and a set of programmable I/O lines. Chime signaling can be provided on the built-in speaker of any MCT terminal installed inside the room or by an electronic chime connected to the output line. The I/O lines can be used to control external devices (lock, siren), connect external buttons or switches (e.g. control of lighting, ventilation), and monitor the status of buttons and sensors (e.g. door open sensor, window open sensor).

Using the MCT82M-IO-HR corridor access terminal and a card pocket terminal (e.g., MCT82M-IO-CH or MCT86M-IO-CH-HR), a basic set of devices can be obtained within the RACS 5 system to realize typical access control and automation requirements in hotel rooms. Using the Integration Server, it is possible to integrate the RACS 5 system with third-party programs and even realize additional operating logic not available in the system.

The MCT82M-IO-HR terminal supports encrypted MIFARE® card sectors, which protects the system against the use of foreign cards and duplication of original cards. The terminal requires connection to an access controller, which controls the system's operating logic. Connection to the controller is via an addressable RS485 bus.
