MC16-PAC-ST is a network access and building automation controller dedicated to RACS 5 v2 system in ST version. Depending on the version, the controller supports up to 16 passages controlled bilaterally. MC16PACST offers event logging for T&A purposes and integration with an alarm system. The concept of integration with the alarm system enables the presentation of the alarm zone status and control of its status directly from the access terminals. MC16 PAC ST provides an advanced yet highly efficient way to manage system users and shape their privileges. The process of configuring the system's controllers is carried out concurrently, and the number of controllers in the system does not affect its configuration time, which is usually completed before 1 minute. The controller is managed from the VISO ST application, which allows interaction with the Microsoft SQL Server server database. The system can be managed from multiple workstations with the VISO ST application and by operators with different levels of authorization. The system allows free access to the system event log, as well as management of its users. Communication with the management computer is implemented via LAN/WAN with AES128-CBC encrypted protocol.

Both the basic and most important element of any modern RACS 5 system is the MC16 controller. The device is offered in many versions, whose functionalities are shaped by a license file on a memory card. All versions of the MC16 controller are based on the same electronic module, which offers:

The software limitations of the MC16 controller are defined by its license file, which is pre-loaded on the memory card supplied with the device. It is possible to extend the original factory license. In the case of the offered MC16-PAC version, the factory-loaded license includes functionality related to passage control and building automation. The controller is equipped with a FLASH memory card, which serves, among other things, as a local event buffer (8 million), a storage place for the controller's license file and a source of configuration parameters. The memory card and a valid license are essential for the controller to function. If necessary, the license.cfg file can be copied to the memory card using an external reader and if an existing license is replaced, it can be uploaded from the VISO software.

Configuration of devices from the PC level
