Product Description
The MC16-EVC controller is designed to work with elevator systems in which floor selection is performed by changing the state of the electrical contact associated with the floor selection button. In the access control concept used in the MC16-EVC controller, in order to select a floor, the user must first log in at the reader installed in the elevator, after which the controller activates a set of output lines that unlock the floors to which the user has access.
Permissions to individual floors can be defined using time schedules and calendars, and it is also possible to temporarily unlock buttons without requiring logging in. Button unlocking outputs can be located on any I/O expander connected to the controller nevertheless the MCX8 expander offering eight relay outputs with isolated NO/NC contacts is the most suitable for this purpose. User login can be performed on any MCT or PRT series reader or reader with compatible Wiegand interface. The controller supports one elevator with 64 floors and up to 8,000 users.
As with other MC16 series controllers, communication with the VISO management application is encrypted and is done via LAN/WAN. Support for classic elevators is available in the VISO ST management software version and is not limited in the number of supported elevators in the system
