What is a combiner?

A combiner is a product containing devices used to sum and distribute signals from an antenna to individual receivers. How does the combiner work?

What are the types of splitters?

Active TV splitters have a special amplifier in their overall design to ensure that there is no loss of signal quality during viewing. However, it is necessary to connect it to electricity, otherwise it will not work well. Active splitter - in addition to being more expensive than a passive splitter at the time of purchase, generates additional fixed energy costs due to connection to electricity. However, since these devices are small in size, the cost of using a splitter is relatively low.

A passive TV splitter has a much simpler design without an amplifier. Here the signal is divided evenly between each device, resulting in a significant loss of picture quality. However, longer distances between the antenna and the TV receiver result in greater signal loss.

What kind of TV splitter to choose?
