Omnidirectional antennas - these outdoor radio antennas allow wideband reception of signals that come from different directions. This type of antenna is the most versatile type, which does not require orientation in the direction of the flowing signal.

Directional antennas - these antennas receive radio signals coming from one direction, specifically the one in which they are set. By having an amplifier, they are able to effectively mute any interference reaching them from other directions.

Isotropic antennas - these are theoretical radio antennas - in practice, their technical specifications make it literally impossible for them to exist in reality.
