For typical models, when selecting an electric strike, the customer must specify the direction of opening of the door controlled by it (left-right). The symmetrical electric strike has a latch (tongue) located at an equal distance from both edges of the housing, which makes it suitable for installation in both left and right doors. This eliminates the need to select a specific type of electric strike when designing an entrance control. The function of the electric strike is to block the entrance secured by it and to release it after supplying voltage to the electric strike coil. The electric strike can be controlled by an intercom system, video intercom system, access control system or a simple push button (so-called "bell"). It allows eliminating the play between the electro-lock tongue and the door lock tongue by extending the electro-lock tongue within 0 ~ 4 mm from the standard position. The electric strike has been equipped with a special coil that allows to reduce current consumption during operation. This feature allows the electro-lock to be used in battery-backed control systems, where the current consumption of each device is extremely important. A short (momentary) electrical impulse is sufficient to open (unlock) the lock, which unlocks the electric strike. After passing through the door, the lock will go to the rest position. This is a convenient feature when handling the opening of the door by an outgoing person, where the opening button is at a distance from the lock. without fear of re-locking. It can be used with alarm systems, simple entry control systems, wireless door control systems, etc., where the door opening time is not adjustable. It is not recommended for control by a control system with adjustable opening time, where the set time to apply voltage to the door strike coil may be longer than the time to pass through the door. This will cause the electric strike to unlock again and leave the entrance open. The electric strike has a mechanical interlock switch that can be set to the OPEN or CLOSED position. In the OPEN state, you can pass through the door for any length of time without giving electrical impulses. In the CLOSED state, it works as standard as other electromagnetic lock models. The switch setting is possible only when the door is open. Once the door is closed, changing the switch position is not possible. It is used in places where there is a lot of traffic during the day and there is no need to control the entrance of people. Depending on the need, the electromagnetic lock can be switched to the mode of operation with control of admission of persons. Without applying voltage - the electric door strike locked. When voltage is applied, the electric door strike is unlocked. To unlock the electric strike, a short electrical impulse is enough - the electric strike remains in the unlocked position until the door/wicket is opened. Once through the door, the electric strike will be locked. To unlock/lock the electric strike for a longer period of time, change the position of the lever on the side of the striker.
