Measurement of paint thickness on automotive steel, galvanized steel and aluminum sheets. It should be noted that the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function is only intended to help interpret the measurements, it cannot be the basis for a definite answer to the question of whether the car has had body and paint repairs. Nevertheless, a lot of car appraisers don't really know what a given paint thickness means, so the above function is intended to help with this. The function allows us to take a measurement and hold it, so we can move the meter away from the surface to be tested and read the measurement. The HOLD function can be turned off from MENU. Sound signaling It comes in handy especially when taking a measurement with the HOLD function turned on. After taking a measurement, the meter informs us with a short beep. The audible signal can be turned off from the MENU level. The meters have a spring-suspended measuring head, which is constructed in such a way that when the probe is pressed against the surface under test, it "slides" into the probe housing. This makes the measurement more accurate due to the more uniform pressure on the surface under test. Hand vibrations are also equalized. The front of the probe is made of high-quality plastic, so it will last for years. The calibration - zeroing function ensures that the meter will measure correctly in all conditions, even after several years of use.
