It should be noted that the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function is only intended to help interpret the measurements, it can not be the basis for a definite answer to the question of whether the car has had body and paint repairs. Nevertheless, a lot of car appraisers don't really know what a given paint thickness means, so the above function is intended to help with that. The calibration - zeroing function ensures that the meter will measure correctly in all conditions, even after several years of use.
