Satel GSM-X GSM/GPRS communication module

GSM-X offers extensive functionality in the area of communication and support for several of its tracks. This device can be used to implement monitoring in alarm systems. For this purpose, it uses the connection through the dialer of any control panel or its appropriately configured outputs.

An important feature of the communicator is the ability to expand with an Ethernet module GSM-X-ETH, so that monitoring can be carried out through two independent tracks (Ethernet and GPRS). Constant control of the connection status with the monitoring station and the substitutability of the transmission paths make it possible to meet the exorbitant DP4 requirements of the EN 50136 standard for the so-called Dual Path Reporting.

GSM-X offers notification of up to 8 users, in several ways: by voice, SMS or PUSH messages, or through the CLIP service.

In the case of INTEGRA and INTEGRA Plus control panels, the connection to them can be made via RS-232. In this way, GSM-X will realize monitoring and notification (content downloaded from the event list - INTEGRA Plus), as well as remote connection to DLOADX and GUARDX software.

The module has a function of automatic switching of communication to the GSM track, in case of failure of the analog telephone line. GSM-X can also act as a GSM gateway for subscriber telephone exchanges (PBX).

The device is equipped with 4 programmable outputs, which can be controlled remotely using SMS, CLIP, DTMF, GX CONTROL mobile application or GX Soft configuration software. Thus, GSM-X can be used to remotely control the alarm system or other connected devices.

A computer with GX Soft software installed is used for programming and configuration. Connection to the module can be made locally, by connecting to the module's mini-USB port, or remotely, by connecting to the device via GPRS or Ethernet*.

Remote updating of the device (its firmware) is possible through GSM-X's cooperation with UpServ software.

The built-in GSM phone has slots for two SIM cards. In case of problems with the network coverage of the operator of the first card, the module automatically switches to the second one, maintaining continuity of communication.
