MS-6818 Cable Tester

The MS-6818 meter allows you to identify and track cables located in walls or buried underground. The meter's method of operation also allows it to track the location of other metallic installations, such as plumbing pipes, heating system components (including flooring) and others. In addition, the MS-6818 meter also allows you to detect faults and short circuits in electrical wires.

The device allows you to work both in a disconnected circuit and in the presence of mains voltage (AC and DC). If mains voltage is present, both the transmitter and receiver will display a warning on the screens that they are working on a live circuit. The transmitter also has the ability to measure circuit voltage in the range of 12V ... 400V AC/DC. The maximum range from which the receiver is able to locate a cable is 2m, which also allows you to determine the location of installations located quite deep underground.

It is possible to use more MS-6818 meters simultaneously, for example, to determine rooms supplied from different phases of the electrical network. The transmitters have the ability to transmit different signals, which are identified by the receiver. Both the transmitter and the receiver identify these signals by letters: F, E, H, D, L, C, O, A.
