Mechanical splice with SC/APC connector FAST-SC-APC

The universal mechanical connector makes it possible to terminate single-mode fiber optic cable with SC/APC type connectors without time-consuming gluing and polishing of connectors. No sterile conditions are required for the quick-connectors to be sealed, as the fiber optic face has been polished and pasted under laboratory conditions (G.657A standard fiber is pasted). The optical gel, located in the connector, nullifies the effects of imprecise cutting or a small gap between the inserted fiber end and the mounted fiber inside the connector. The most important and unique solution is the use of a transparent body in the connector. During the installation of the connector, a visual fault locator should be connected, so that the installer can continuously monitor the quality of the connection being made. No red light in the connector means a perfect connection. Quick connectors are suitable for terminating optical lines wherever traditional glued optical connectors are used, e.g. for terminating optical fibers in building switches. Due to their high transmission parameters, they are especially recommended for telecommunications, FTTH, TV, surveillance systems and also for backbone networks as well as MAN and WAN.
