The connector is designed so that after crimping it becomes watertight. During the crimping process, the plastic connector element is shrunk (by sliding a brass conical sleeve) onto the cable jacket. The material from which the plastic sleeve is constructed is the patent-protected Delrin of the DuPont company known for the quality of its products. It is UV resistant, retains its physical properties both at very high and low temperatures. Since the metal parts are made of nickel-plated brass, the connector is completely corrosion-resistant. The connector has a full ring, which, as a result of the process of compression of the connector (longitudinal, axial compression), conveys inward. The dimensions are chosen in such a way that after compression, the connector clamps down on the cable tire with a force high enough that breaking the connector from the cable is impossible and low enough that the cable structure is not damaged. Comparing this connector with others, it should be noted that the speed, certainty of installation and stability of the made connection balance the price of this connector.
