The OPV-16/RACK surge arrester effectively protects the transmission line by allowing surge current to be dissipated to the ground, thus providing proper surge protection for electronic equipment Our statistics collected from many years of service indicate that about 25% of electronic equipment damage was caused by surges. OPV-16/RACK does not cause loss of signal quality and is a passive device that does not require power supply. NOTE: Before installation, please read the following recommendations: Connection work must not be performed during a thunderstorm. OPV-16/RACK should be connected to a good grounding system. The limiter should be placed as close as possible to the protected device OPV-16/RACK is not symmetrical and the protected device should be connected to the "PROTECTED DEVICE" output BNC sockets. On the other hand, the "LINE" BNC sockets are connected to the transmission line on which a surge may occur
