The device is designed to protect devices connected to a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet network, connected to each other by a twisted-pair running overhead line The device is the first level of protection for overhead connections It protects each wire in a four-pair cable and dissipates the electrical charge to the ground The condition for proper operation of AXON-AIR is that it is connected to a working ground or PE protective conductor
The best effectiveness of surge protection is provided by using AXON-AIR on an outdoor line in combination with AXON-NET inside the building
