SCOT's mandrel electric strikes are an alternative to, or complementary to, the electric strikes commonly used in access control systems in passageways requiring additional electromechanical protection. A bolt electric strike consists of an actuator element containing an electromagnet, which pushes or retracts a movable pin (depending on the type of electric strike) under the influence of applied voltage. The main element is mounted in the frame or on the door frame. The movable pin, entering the prepared hole in the door leaf, blocks it from opening. Depending on the model of electric door strike, the maximum pressure on the door at which the pin can be broken is 2000 kg.
