Czujnik przeznaczony jest do automatycznego sterowania załączaniem oświetlenia budynku (lub innych urządzeń elektrycznych) po wykryciu ruchu w pobliżu miejsca jego instalacji Sercem urządzenia jest pasywny czujnik podczerwieni o kącie detekcji ruchu wynoszącym około 180 stopni.
