MCT82M-IO-CH is an access terminal designed for use in the RACS 5 access control and building automation system. The terminal is equipped with a proximity card pocket, a two-color LED light bar and a set of built-in I/O lines including one relay output. The terminal continuously monitors the presence of the card in the pocket and reports its status to the controller. In response to the insertion and removal of the card from the pocket, the controller takes an individually programmed action, which may additionally depend on the privileges assigned to the card.

The terminal's built-in I/O lines can be configured for any function available in the system. The terminal is mainly used as an intelligent electrical switch, the state of which depends on the presence of the card in the pocket. In particular, it can be used to control the electrical power supply of a room, machine or equipment. Using the Integration Server, it is possible to integrate the RACS 5 system with third-party programs and even realize additional operating logic not available in the system. As the MCT82M-IOCH terminal supports encrypted MIFARE® card sectors, it is possible, on the one hand, to block the operation of foreign proximity cards in the system and, on the other hand, to protect the original cards from duplication. The MCT82M-IO-CH model is designed for surface mounting.
