ROGER MC16-SVC service controller

The MC16-SVC controller is a hardware-compatible controller for MC16 series access controllers and is intended to be used as a demonstration or service device. The MC16-SVC controller is supplied with a set of so-called service licenses, which allow it to switch to an operating mode compatible with any functional variation of the MC16 series controller. In particular, it can be configured to work as an access controller for 16 passages (MC16-PAC-16), a locker controller for 64 lockers (MC16-LRC-64) or a classic elevator controller for 64 floors (MC16-EVC-64). Switching the controller to operate in a specific functional variant is done by selecting the appropriate service license and in some cases, requires uploading the appropriate software version to the controller.

The controller's service license operation time is limited to 10 days and is calculated from the initial date set by the installer in the configuration file on the memory card. When the service license expires, the controller automatically stops normal operation. In order to restart operation, it is necessary to enter a new start date in the configuration file. The working time of the controller can be extended any number of times, and the extension for the next period can take place during the previous period.

For a service controller, it is possible to order a commercial license and use it indefinitely as a replacement for another device. The license from a returned controller that has been damaged can be transferred to the service controller. The service controller is offered, as an independent electronic module and as part of the DB and PDK series demonstration kits. Optionally, the controller can be configured to operate in demonstration mode. In this case, the controller normally operates from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and suspends operation outside these hours. The demonstration mode operates indefinitely and does not require refreshing the start date, as is the case with operation in service mode.
