Proximity reader MCT84M-BK-W

MCT84M series readers are indoor access terminals designed for use in RACS 5 access control system. The readers act as a slave device to the access controller and cannot independently supervise the passage. MCT84M terminals are capable of reading both the proximity card serial number (CSN) and the programmable card number (PCN) stored in the encrypted memory sectors on the card. The use of the programmable card number protects the card against duplication, which significantly increases the security level of the entire access control system. Communication with the controller is carried out via a modified RS485 standard, which allows star and tree type wiring structures.

The communication bus to which the reader is connected can be up to 1200 m long and can be made using any type of signal cable. Configuration of the device and firmware update is carried out via RS485 interface and RogerVDM program (Windows). The front panel of the reader is made of glass, so it has high durability and scratch resistance, in addition to providing a noble aesthetic effect to the device. The reader's housing has a design-neutral appearance, thanks to which it blends in well with both traditional and modern interiors, as well as those of a historical and museum character. The relatively small width of the reader's housing allows it to be mounted on a door frame or structural profiles.
