Product Description
AXON-VIDEO/TWIST-4 is designed for surge protection of analog cameras and DVRs in CCTV systems using twisted pair cable for video signal transmission
The device is an elaborate protection element containing a two-stage protection The first stage uses high-current gas elements, limits overvoltages occurring between the transmission line and PE, and discharges the interference charge to ground The second stage contains high-speed semiconductor elements that eliminate overvoltages that may occur between wires in the transmission line
AXON-VIDEO/TWIST-4 has a shielded metal enclosure Detachable terminal connectors are used as connecting elements The "100 Ω" terminals are used to connect the signal pair of twisted-pair cables, while the third terminal can be used by the installer, if necessary, as ground or continuation of the shield for FTP cables The secondary terminal is not connected to ground at the factory The ground wire, terminated with a fork tip, is brought outside and connects directly to the enclosure
The device is an unbalanced protector The transmission line is connected to the "Line" terminals, while the protected device is connected to the "Device" connector. It should also be remembered that the condition for proper operation of the protector is to connect it to a working ground or PE wire
