buffer power supply APS-612

APS-612 is an advanced buffer power supply that meets the high safety requirements of Grade 3 as defined by EN 50131-3. Its current capacity is 6 A: 3 A to power devices + 3 A for battery charging. It is designed to supply power to receivers operating at 12 V DC. It is not only about devices found in alarm systems, access control systems or CCTV. APS-612 can also be used to power medical devices or in industrial automation or critical infrastructure systems. It has a special 3-pin connector designed for cooperation with SATEL devices, including input and output expanders or ACCO-NT access control panels.

The pulse power supply of LLC topology used in its design is characterized by high efficiency and provides very good power supply parameters with low thermal losses. Thanks to direct power supply from 230 V AC mains, the device does not require installation of an additional mains transformer. APS-612 is equipped with thermal, short-circuit and overload protection. It has a noise filter at the input and an active PFC power factor correction system (up to 0.98).

A battery can be directly connected to the power supply. Microprocessor control of battery status and parameters, precise voltage regulation and automatic disconnection function in case of excessive discharge take care of the battery condition and prolong its life, limiting the possibility of damage.

Signaling LEDs are responsible for indicating: the presence of mains power, the status of battery power and the occurrence of failures - overheating, overload or short circuit of the output. Failures are additionally signaled acoustically. Notification of the alarm system about failures is provided by four OC-type outputs. Changes in their states inform about: exceeding the operating temperature, battery voltage drop below the permissible value, output overload or mains power failure.
