MC16-HRC-3 hotel room access controller

The MC16-HRC hotel room access controller is a variation of the standard MC16-PAC access controller, in which additional functions related to hotel room operation have been provided. The controller operates the hotel room in cooperation with dedicated terminals and I/O expanders, in particular with the corridor reader (MCT82M-BK-HR), card slot (MCT82M-IO-CH or MCT86M-IO-CH-HR) and touch-sensitive function key panels (MCT82-FK-HR). The system allows control and signaling of services: Buffet, Luggage, Housekeeping, Assistance, Service, Do Not Disturb, and statuses: Checked in and Guest in room. Signaling of the above-mentioned statuses and automation states can be continuously monitored from the VISO management program and signaled on LED indicators and/or controller output lines. The MCT82M-BK-HR corridor reader has four programmable LED indicators and a bell button. These indicators are typically used to signal room status and services: Cleaning and Do Not Disturb.

The chime can be signaled on an external chime or the internal speaker of a terminal installed inside the room (e.g., a terminal with a pocket). The system recognizes the code of the card inserted in the pocket and, depending on its authority, turns on the room's electrical power and other devices or systems available in the room (e.g., air conditioning). Function buttons on touch panels are typically used to control hotel signaling and lighting. Any combination of lighting (known as a lighting scene) can be switched on from the function keys on the touch panels, buttons connected to the inputs of the controller, the system management program, or by using a card with the appropriate privileges.

Control of automation, including lighting, can be performed concurrently from multiple locations and using multiple methods. The MC16-HRC controller is offered in 4 versions, which allow to operate from 1 to 4 rooms. MCT series terminals designed for room installation are also available in a flush-mounted version with a glass front panel, which guarantees their high durability and elegant aesthetics. Due to security requirements, RACS 5 system devices used in hotels are offered only in versions with support for encrypted MIFARE® card memory sectors. The MC16-HRC controller uses the same electronic module as the MC16 access controller and offers the same possibilities for expansion of hardware resources by attaching external expanders and readers.
